Taking Down the tree

Holidays passed and gone...I did not even send my wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year... Not for a lack of trying... up in the morning at the wee hour, computer on my lap...and then...a new email expecting an immediate and urgent response, clients meetings, a tree to decorate, a meal to plan, my young cousin and her friends to attend to... worked late on New Years Eve, went home for our traditional fondue party, excused myself during our celebration to never return to the table. My guests (Thank God also my close friends) found me sound asleep on my bed.

So, this is a belated Happy New Year!

I never make resolutions for  New Year...I just have wishes and try to make them happen...I also reflect on the past year and give my thanks. Thank you for the most wonderful loving family which keeps me on my toes, especially my sons and their gang of friends with their various tribulations...(at least they maintain my spirit young), my friends, my business...this tough economy forces me to be alert and more creative than ever, and my clients who challenge me to think constantly outside of the box and allow me to live my passion for design...and my Interieurs team...I have great plans for all of us.

One wish though...I would love to meet my blogging friends and hope our paths will cross.

Now the fun to live my true passion.

  1. Your tree looks as beautiful down as it did up!! Like a sparkling holiday Dutch still life. And lucky you you're on the slopes - I have to wait a bit!! A very happy new year to you.

  2. Oh Francine,
You must have worked so hard to be so tired. You certainly must have needed the sleep !! We seemed to do something everyday and it was only New Years Day that we finally flopped down on the sofas and watches Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland'. No 3D unfortunately but it was still good.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2011 filled with joy, happiness and many special moments. Thank you too for all of your lovely comments and support throughout 2010. With much love. XXXX

  3. Happy New Year, Francine! I hope that all of your wishes come true in 2011.
    Have a nice evening.

  11. Dear Francine,
We do what we can do. Thank goodness that all who know you well, know where your heart is.
I think i get more and more behind every year. The child in me still wants to get it all out and put it all up.
So here we are, thank goodness in a brand new year, and aren't we lucky because we both know that the true ornament of a home, is the family that lives there!
I wish you all the best Francine and would adore meeting up with you too!
    xo Lisa

  12. Hello Francine - what I so admire about you is your ability to live life to it's fullest. You are such an active woman and are always gracious with your appreciation for adventure and your love for your family. Just proves to show you how much of yourself you gave to the holiday season @ Interieurs. As for your Christmas fondue party what a marvelous tradition. I use to love to have fondue. Time to break out those forks again!

Have a marvelous time skiing the fluffy white slopes. A great way to start the New Year right. I agree with my friend Lisa, I too would adore meeting you in 2011.

    Cheers x Deb

  13. HI francine,, Sounds like you had a lot on.. It's is strange the build up to Christmas, like we have to finish everything to restart a week later.. Hope you survived. Carla

  14. Just finished taking mine down. I get sad, because it is almost a living thing in the room and so magical.
I'll miss the lights. That done,
sending you warm wishes for a wonderful New Year.

  15. Bonne année . Hope 2011 will be sweet and rich
